This site is being devoloped for us, the X-Mod Racers. I don't just mean those of us who actually race their X-Mod. I mean, come on, racing them is fun, but Modding them out is even more so. That's the great thing about X-Mods. You can Mod them, trick them out, paint them, whatever. So feel free to come on in, look around, and enjoy. If you have not yet bought an X-Mod, why NOT!!??!! Go now to http://www.radioshack.com and buy one. They are cheap, they are fast as hell, and they are fun.

One of the sucky things about X-Mods is the serious lack of models to choose from. The lineup looks like this so far.

1-Nissan Skyline GT-R (Yellow Base)

2-Acura RSX (Silver Base)

3-Honda Civic (Black or Blue Base)

4-Toyota Supra (Red or White Base)

While one of my favorite cars of all time is the RSX, why didn't Radio Shack drop one of the Civic's, and replace it with a Mitsubishi Eclipse or a Mitsubishi Lancer Evo? From what I have heard, RS is considering more models, maybe even some Supercars, like Lambroghini's and Ferrari's, but that is not confirmed. All I get from the customer service people at Radio Shack is that they are working on it. Here's my top ten wants for the next line of X-Mods.

1-Eclipse

2-Lancer Evo 7

3-Golf GTi

4-3000 GT

5-Mustang Saleen

6-Ferrari F50

7-Neon

8-Miata

9-350 Z

10-1991 Ford Crown Victoria

Ok, so number ten was a joke. That happens to be my real car, and I would LOVE to mod one out! But the rest of the list applies. As for actual mods, here are some ideas.

1-Removable windows. RS knows people modify the cars. If you go to http://www.xmodsrc.com, and go to the rate-a-car page, they have about million different peoples cars. Most of them are repainted. So if RS knows this, why not include removable windows. I hate taping my windows off when I paint, and this would make my life much easier.

2-FWD. I have 4 RSX's, and while they are fun to drive, and look really nice, a real RSX is front wheel drive.For that matter, so is the Civic. Why not make it so the motor on those ones, or on any X-Mod model that comes out in the future that is FWD, drop in the front, and drive the front wheels. I know that this might be kinda hard to pull off, but this is a wish list.

3-Better vinals. I love the decal kit that you can buy from Radio Shack. It is cheap ($6.99), and includes a boatload of manufacturer decals, but some people don't want thier Tuner to look like A NASCAR ride. So why can't Radio Shack hook up with a decal maker, and sell custom vinals. It would make RS a ton of money, and they could do it somehow where you can order CUSTOM decals. You design it, and RS orders it.

So, that's my wish list for X-Mods v.2.0. Maybe RS will hear our cries, and do some of them. Stay tuned for more details.
